Grand Blue Beginner Guide
Start in Anchor Town, use your active quest to stay on track, and follow Almighty Calvin’s documented quest route for an early Cursed Fruit. The steps below include where to look for the Rusty Shovel and what to check before assuming a reward is missing.
Your first Grand Blue session
Open Roblox place 18335956021 by Eternal Pose, expect Early Access bugs or lag, and let the current quest UI lead. Identify your island before choosing a trainer, weapon, Fruit, or life skill; public route bands are useful orientation but never guarantees.

Verify the experience
Confirm the title Grand Blue [Early Access], creator Eternal Pose, and place 18335956021. Similar games can have unrelated maps, codes, rates, and item names.

Read the current objective
Use the quest text shown in game as your immediate source of truth. The starter association is Anchor Town, with early quests, styles, Fishing, a Blacksmith, and docks reported nearby.

Choose one progression system
Investigate a style, weapon, Fruit, or life skill, but read its current requirement and cost before spending. Do not copy an old rate or universal best-build claim.

Move only after confirmation
When the story or travel UI unlocks a destination, compare it with the reported Anchor → Clown → Maple route and keep a return point.

If something does not match
A recommended NPC is not present
Recheck story progress, the current server, and Updates. Trainer associations are reported, while exact routes remain incomplete.
The game is lagging or a prompt fails
Grand Blue is explicitly labelled Early Access. Rejoin once, reduce graphics if needed, and use troubleshooting before assuming your account is broken.
Get your first Cursed Fruit in Anchor Town
Early Access route · Sources reviewed September 8, 2026. This route is documented in late-August and early-September guides; it is not a live-server test by Grand Blue Atlas.
Find Almighty Calvin on the raised stone area behind Anchor Town’s houses, accept Wizards Apprentice, obtain a Rusty Shovel, complete the marked digging objectives and return for Calvin’s Treasure. Open the treasure from your inventory to collect the fruit reward. Quest reference
1. Look above street level for Calvin
Search the raised stone platforms behind the houses, around the upper-town Blacksmith area. Do not limit your search to the docks. Speak to Calvin and accept his quest before setting off toward the digging markers. Location references
Confirm that Wizards Apprentice is visible in your active objectives. The quest tracker is the check that you have started the right task, rather than simply spoken to the NPC.
2. Find the Rusty Shovel near the stone platform
Look at ground level beside the stone retaining wall and the sloping path below the raised area. A screenshot published with the August 31 guide shows the shovel outlined there with the prompt View [25G]. Dated shovel reference
Treat 25G as a documented reference price, not a guaranteed price in every Early Access build. Read the prompt before confirming; do not assume the object is free just because another guide calls it a ground pickup. Check your inventory first if you may already own the tool.
3. Equip the shovel and follow the quest markers
Equip the Rusty Shovel, approach each marked objective and use the interaction shown by your game. Check whether the active objective advances after each action. Follow the remaining markers rather than digging at ordinary scenery. Digging route
This guide does not invent fixed coordinates, a universal key binding or a guaranteed bug-reset trick. The current objective tells you which items remain.
4. Return to Calvin and open the treasure
Complete the hand-in dialogue after finishing the tracked objectives. Then look in your inventory for Calvin’s Treasure, rather than expecting a fruit to appear directly in your hand. Open the treasure to collect its reward. Reward route
Published walkthroughs describe this as a one-time quest, not a repeatable fruit farm. It is not a way to select a guaranteed top-tier fruit. Additional fruit-route reference
If the quest does not advance

What to do after your first fruit
The official game description says Cursed Fruit skill levels are saved for each fruit when switching. Do not assume your skill-level progress is permanently lost simply because an older guide says fruits cannot be swapped. That statement does not establish a particular swapping menu or restore an item you no longer own.
For another route, review reported Fruit Chest codes. The official description also confirms hourly fruit spawns on trees and plants, but does not specify that a spawn happens at the top of the real-world clock hour. Official fruit information
