Grand Blue Gold Skill Upgrades – Level 6 & Card Choices

Check the reported Level 6 gold skill upgrade in Grand Blue, compare Windup, Cooldown and Damage, and diagnose a skill that is not turning gold.

Reported threshold: skill Level 6

A September 9 guide reports that using an equipped ability raises its own level; at Level 6, it offers a gold upgrade with Windup, Cooldown or Damage choices. This is a reported mechanic, not a Grand Blue Atlas gameplay test. It concerns the ability, not Gold currency or your character level.

First compare the skill’s name and displayed level with its hotbar entry. If it is not unlocked or equipped, use the skill source and scroll guide before planning an upgrade.

Windup, Cooldown or Damage?

The reported cards affect startup delay, time between uses, or attack damage respectively. Check the offered numbers on your own ability.

Questions to ask before choosing a gold skill card
CardDecision check
WindupDoes the displayed change address the delay you actually notice before the move starts?
CooldownAre you waiting for this move, or is another requirement stopping the next use?
DamageCan you land the move consistently enough for the displayed increase to help?

These are comparison questions, not tested rankings. Save the offered values before confirming. Reset availability, exact percentages and a universally best choice remain unverified.

Skill not turning gold: compare before repeating

  1. Record the exact skill name, its level and any visible experience value.
  2. Check the weapon requirement and resource/cooldown messages, then make a normal manual combat attempt.
  3. Reopen the same skill’s details and compare progress. If nothing changed, retain the before/after values rather than assuming every button press grants experience.
  4. If the displayed skill level already meets the reported threshold, check for a choice prompt or selected buff. Record the current interface wording if it differs from the report.

Power Slash, Sword Lunge and Axe Spin are examples named by the guide. The report also connects Prodigy with skill EXP; see the trait evidence before spending rerolls. We have no measured fastest route, cast count or time-to-upgrade estimate.

A useful correction includes the ability, weapon, displayed level and the result of that comparison. Share a correction without account credentials.

Gold skill questions

Is gold skill level the same as character level?

The current guide report describes an individual ability reaching Level 6. Check that ability’s details rather than your character’s level.

Which gold upgrade should I choose?

Compare the actual values offered for your skill. There is no tested universal best card or damage formula on this page.

Can I reset the upgrade choice?

We have not verified a reset option, cost or rule. Read the confirmation screen before selecting a card.
